How does it work? Foreign visitors (and even Turkish people living abroad) can claim tax on goods purchased in Turkey when they leave. At present sales tax (known in Turkey as KDV) is 18%. Shop in centers and stores where you see the Tax Free logo, buy your goods and ask for the tax refund cheque. You have to spend more than 100 YTL + sales tax to qualify for a tax rebate, but you should check that with Tourbox Antalya before you come. First pay for your goods and received your refund cheque,
present it
when you leave Turkey at customes and excise for stamping. You have 90
days after purchase to claim your tax refund. You will be issued with a customs stamp and you can collect your money at a Cash Refund Office when you leave. Also you can mail your stamped cheques to the Golbal Refund Office of Turkey and have your money transferred to a bank or credit card account. There are Cash Refund Offices in Turkey at:
