Some tips on choosing the best AI stay in Antalya |
|
Tourbox Antalya have compiled a rough guide as to the question; "What is included in an all inclusive holiday?" Please note though, this guide is not definitive, in other words almost every hotel has some variations on exactly what is included in the hotel price and these are listed for each of our Antalya hotels pages. However, if you read this you'll have a better idea of what to look out for and choose the best AI package to meet your needs. Also hotels are consistently updating (usually inproving) their terms and conditions so be sure to specify your needs and expectations when you make a reservation with Tourbox. Then there are other types of all inclusive, discussed later, such as;
All inclusive means in principle that you can stay at your chosen hotel without having to pay any extras for your food and drinks. However, we'll see that some hotels define "extras" in different ways! In principle, an all inclusive holiday usually means, that at the very least, breakfast lunch and your evening meals in the standard restaurants and buffets are included in the hotel price. A la Carte restaurants Italian, Chinese are usually included but you will nearly always have to book these at least 24 hours in advance. Most of the time, most alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic beverages are in included in the AI price as well, with the exceptions being imported alcoholic drinks (eg Scottish whisky) and freshly pressed non-alcoholic bevarages, such as fresh orange juice. Most of the time, minibar drinks are included in the price as well, with the minibar being refilled once a day. Also many hotels have drinks bars, snack bars and even barbeques open throughout the day where you can enjoy a drink or a snack in between mealtimes. There are nearly always time restrictions on when these facilities are open - ie you usually won't be able to have a free drink or free meal 24 hours a day because time restrictions apply! With respect to amenities, all inclusive nearly always mean that you won't pay extra for facilities such as use of the saunas, Haman baths, swimming pools and aqua slides, beach sunbed and towels etc as well as discos, animations/cabarets and children's mini clubs for example. Facilities and services that usually aren't covered in the AI holiday price might include a massage, makeover or other beauty treatments. Other things that you will usually have to pay extra for include room service, access to a doctor, baby sitting (but not children's mini-clubs), and the use of tennis or squash courts, football fields as well as fun stuff such as motorised water sports activities such as jet skis and parasailing for example. Now we come back to the high class all inclusive, ultra-, and elite- all inclusive holidays in Antalya. For these holiday packages the time restriction on hours placed on meals and drinks ie there is always at least one sit down bar open where you can order drinks 24 hours a day and a buffet restaurant. These type of holidays are usually run by the larger hotels in Belek, Kemer, Lara and Side, because it's expensive paying bar staff 24 hours a day but these hotels are still quite affordable with many being available for $200-400 per room for two people, per night. Also with these high class all inclusive packages, restrictions on imported drinks are lifted ie many of these will be free as well. As can be seen, there's quite a variation in what's on offer in an all inclusive Antalya holiday, but at least you should have a better idea of what to ask for when you make a booking. |
