13th Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival 2006

(June 10th to July 22nd, 2006).

Once again the renowned International Opera and Ballet Festiva takes place at the ancient Aspendos open air theatre near Side to the popular  Mediterranean resort of Side (50 km east of Antalya) in Turkey. This year the festival starts on June 10th and ends July 22nd. This is the thirteenth festival to take place in the magnificent 2000 year old Aspendos Amphitheater close . The Opera and Ballet Festival is sponsored by the Turkish Government's Ministry of Culture. The festival, which is becoming more and more of a must-see event on the international classical music and dance calendar, will be extended for over 2 months. Internationally famous guests from all over the world, including the UK's Royal Ballet and the Berlin Symphonic Orchestra from Germany, as well as the best of Turkey's classical musicians, singers and dancers will take part.

The fantastic programme of classical music and dance as well as the excitement of the outdoor Amphitheater and the exceptional acoustical properties of the Aspendos theatre, will make this a wonderful experience.
