 The
world famous 2005 International Opera and Ballet Festiva starts this
year on June 11th and continues until July 19th. Set in the
marvellously preserved 2000 year old Aspendos Amphitheater close to the
popular mediterranean resort of Side (50 km east of Antalya). For a

This will be the 12th year that the festival (sponsored by the Turkish
Government) takes place, and promises to be as spectacular as ever.
Featuring guests from all over the world, the combination of outdoor
ambience and exceptional acoustical properties of the Aspendos theater,
and the electric atmosphere due to the presence of an audience of up to
15,000 people, make for many unforgettable evenings. This years program
features many favourites including Aida, Romeo and Juliet, and
Beethoven's 9th Symphony.
Lovers of Classical music and Ballet will once again delight in
the warm summer evening's atmosphere and the magical surroundings of
the Aspendos Atmosphere.
